Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly

Two album campaigns for the singer/songwriter Sam Duckworth, aka Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly; his 2005 debut 'Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager', and his self-titled album release from 2011.

I designed Sam's debut album after he was signed to Atlantic Records in 2006, it also being the first album I'd designed from start to finish. Consequently it ended up being a very personal endeavour for both of us, with lots of thought and effort going into the 'scrapbook' that the inlay became.

I also designed Get Cape's self-titled third album, for which I worked closely with artist and sculptor Jon Kipps. The inlay unfolds to become a flat version of the paper sculpture shown on the cover and, by following the instructions inside, can be folded up into a replica. A tremendous amount of work, trial and error went into perfecting this, and everyone was really pleased with the final result.
